Our purpose
Real change doesn't start from the outside.
It starts within communities.

Our mission
To strengthen community-based organizations across the African diaspora by connecting them with the partnerships, resources, and visibility they need to expand their impact.
Our vision
A future where community-led solutions are recognized, supported, and driving sustainable development across the African diaspora.
Values

Community First
We center the knowledge, leadership, and priorities of local communities.

Collaboration
We build partnerships that create shared, sustainable impact.

Integrity
We act with transparency, accountability, and respect.

The Waklatsi Foundation was created with a clear belief: Communities already hold the knowledge and leadership needed to drive change.
What often stands in the way is access — to funding, to networks, and to global visibility.
The Waklatsi Foundation exists to bridge that gap. By working alongside community-based organizations, we strengthen their capacity, connect them with global partners, and amplify their voices. We support the community to lead change.
